It's amazing, isn't it? I'm sure that the woman sitting in that waiting area in Glasgow nervously nibbling on a salad sandwich could never, ever, ever have imagined even in her very wildest dreams, how her life was going to change because she had the determination and the courage and the cheekiness to enter just one more competition, try yet once again, not giving up on herself and her dream of becoming a professional singer...... She left that room to go out on the stage and by the time she came off the stage, her life was already about to begin its tumultuous change, her name rocketing into worldwide fame. That woman sitting there in the "doily frock," with the frizzy hair and the bristly, bushy, thick eyebrows and the voice of pure gold, this somewhat shy and reserved lassie waiting there that day, couldn't have pictured herself not quite three years later now being celebrated and honored in a country thousands of miles away, a woman loved by millions all over the world, a professional singer with two extraordinarily successful albums under her belt and the third one on the cusp of probably breaking more sales records.....
I for one am thoroughly enjoying watching her blossom and emerge from her cocoon, showing us her wicked sense of humor, her impeccable comedic timing, her new confidence and the many sides of her.
Wow. Susan Boyle, it's an entire world filled with "yeses."
