| One word of advice to any viewers of the video. If you watch it YOU MUST hit the Youtube logo in the lower right to get to Youtube where your view will go into the official count. That being said there are probably millions of other views NOT being counted from the many, many entertainment/news sites that are linking to the video. Same rule applies there....view on the official Youtube site please. |

| During the sixth taping, the semifinals, which in essence actually were the finals, the studio audience plus the "Superfans" voted. In the five competition rounds leading up to the semifinals only the Superfans (and the judges, with their "golden buzzer") voted. |

Not according to the new information on that link that someone found. The only votes that counted in the Finals were those of the "super fans", who were characterized as big supporters of AGT over the years. Exactly what that consisted of was not specified. The audience votes and Golden Buzzers decided who went through to the semis. The Finals were decided (it's claimed by the site indicated) by this murky group who could be anybody from employees of AGT to Simon Cowell's extended family and great and good friends. I think this show was devised solely as a 5 or 6 week prime time promotion for Simon's Got Talents WW and it won the night.. The reason Susan and Paul Potts were asked to come, as they knew perfectly well going in, is that they are the big names from the past. However, it certainly makes sense to me that the winner would be one of the new younger contestants, like Darci, or Shin, the magician or even Jackie. We'll see. |

Yep. I think we could say Susan exceeded expectations after 10 years. It's interesting. The AGT Spoilers thread is still going on and there seems to some backtracking. As in who wins the whole thing, since the 50 super fans now appear to be whoever Simon and Fremantle want them to be, which means the winner will be who the franchise feels is most valuable to them going forward. And who that is I have no idea, because I don't know what criteria would govern that. |

Simon & the franchise will do what is best for Simon & the Got Talent franchises money-wise as to the vote. No one knows who the 50 Super Fans are to check on their votes. I will say this though, based on what we see on youtube & twitter comments the fans OVERWHELMINGLY want Susan to win. |

| Been busy with life here so haven't taken time to look again at the "leaks" discussions, but I think that the original rumors that the winner is going to be either Shin Lim or Darci Lynne are pretty accurate. Both are extremely talented young artists. Trennie, you mentioned Jackie....over the past nine years she has been consistently working as a professional singer (concerts, recordings, etc.) and always has had her career already established outside of Simon Cowell's influence and control even while still being a part of the Sony label under various imprints. At this point Jackie is continuing to move forward as she explores new directions in her young adulthood so I don't think that she would be all that interested in winning this thing as a career move per se, especially if it involves, which it inevitably would, becoming engulfed by Syco and Freemantle and subject to the franchise's control. She doesn't need that, nor do I think she wants it. Jackie has an upcoming new album to promote and the timing is right. My guess is that this was her primary motivation in even agreeing to participate in the show in the first place. Visibility on US television certainly cannot hurt any artist's career! |

It is so hyper and the audience response to everyone is so amped up, either electronically or they've all been at the "free bar", that it just seems unreal. No Darci didn't go to the semi-finals , so Jackie shouldn't worry that she didn't either, although Darci was brought back as a "Wild Card" the "leakers" say. I will say that Susan is definitely not "up" to being a judge. Simon was right. She'd hate it. |

I am sure Miss E did not think she had a good chance to win, either-- nor did Miss Boyle. Both did the show for the PR-- tho from what i have heard Miss Boyle DID win the best singer-- which is more than Miss E did |

| Teri, what gives you the idea that Susan "won as the best singer?" Nice little fantasy, but in reality there was no such differentiation in this competition. It's a variety show, from dog acts to comedians to ventriloquists to magicians to singers to ladder-climbers and people who supposedly swallow swords or puke as their "act." In the end, whoever won the thing is the sole winner, regardless of what their particular act happened to be. Now, if Susan really wanted to compete and find out if she were truly considered by some competition to be "the best singer," I suppose she could always appear on "the Voice" with a blind audition, as that is a show which is nothing BUT singers..... Thing is, I don't think Susan is interested in doing that, nor does she need to do so. She's already established her place in the overall scheme of things: LEGEND. |

| I am wondering if they switched things around a bit so that tonight from what I recall from the "leaks" sites was mentioned as having been taped as episode 3 (of course I may be wrong on that and it was always episode 2 right from the get-go, but haven't checked things out) was broadcast tonight as the second show? Why? To keep a high level of interest and momentum going, especially since this show involved Darci Lynne, another popular performer, and her being shut out from moving into the semifinals? I didn't watch the show so don't know how all of that played out or what the overall audience reaction was..... I'm sure that there was consternation and anger expressed on the part of fans viewing at home and seeing this for the first time who were unaware that this was taped and that in the end Darci Lynn is brought back as a "wild card"..... They have no idea of how all of this is so artfully manipulated and edited to create "good television" from the get-go....... |

I am still trying to figure out if an actual audience saw one act being crowned as the champion. I have read that sometimes phony sites are set up to give out the wrong info as the truth. It is done by producers to counter the "real" news getting out. I thought Susan has to return to do the final. Could all of it had been done in those couple of days she was in LA? So I come back to the original ques--does anyone personally know someone who saw an actual act being given the crown?? Im also confused by this talk that Darcy Lynn didn't make it but was given some wild card to get in. It just sounds as if there are a lot of shenanigans going on. |
