Subject: SBFII: What they REALLY think of members! Thu Feb 17, 2011 7:46 pm
As you will know from my last thread concerning the ‘red scarf forum’ (now known as SBFII), the mods/admin have private threads for their eyes only to discuss things they don’t want the members to know about. One such private thread is the ‘Staff Chat’ thread, where they basically moan about members of the forum, call them names, and endlessly pick apart postings from members looking for any signs of ‘disrespect’ or anything they don’t like. I know they don’t like me, but it also appears they don’t actually like many other people either, except ‘Canadian Bill’ who they seem to think is some kind of god! I now have a copy of this thread and it makes interesting reading, or at least some of it because much of it is the ‘staff’ acting like 3-year-old spoilt brats. What came across from the thread was the fact that the ‘staff’ are basically controlling, paranoid, and arrogant loonies desperate for access to Susan. It’s also quite an eye opener how they talk about members, even those who are supposed to be liked! Here I present genuine extracts from the thread. Some names have been removed for legal reasons. I have added comments beneath each quote. Note that none of this material was obtained through any illegal act.
Admin P:
“I have just given pardonmeboy a bit of a slapdown -so expect a complaint from her - silly cow - her attitude is patronising and condescending - she annoys the hell out of me. She ought to go and work for the tabs with her attitude - in fact are we sure she isn't a journo in disguise?”
My comment: And pardonmeboy is supposed to be one of the ‘in crowd’!
Admin P:
“I'm inclined to let it stand myself - we have been accused of over moderating and being over sanitised in our approach on many issues. We need to allow folk to have an opinion - even if we don't necessarily like it. We would be deleting half the posts on the forum other wise”
My comment: So they admit they don’t actually like much of what is said on the forum!
Moderator (no longer ‘staff’):
“Yes I agree we need to allow folks to have an opinion as long as those opinions don't violate Rule 1 and I don't know this as an absolute, but I would suggest for her to say Susan is unpredictable could be considered the same as saying she's unreliable and to my way of thinking sounds like disrespect, but perhaps as you say it can be taken in a different way taking into account the measure of disrespect that is shown and in this case perhaps borderline.”
My comment: This is how they twist things in their minds. ‘Unpredictable’ becomes ‘unreliable’ which becomes ‘disrespect’? Huh? What are these people on?!
Admin P:
“maya is re tweeting negative adam fan posts and saying she is upset by them - she is an idiot.”
My comment: Nice way to talk about people behind their backs!
Admin K:
“DJG's crowd are bringing up all the threads opened by them. Just now LEM's "I'm crazy than you" brought up by knudt. I've just soft deleted it. I'm starting to be fed up with all of them. Sighhh”
My comment: I don’t have a ‘crowd’ or ‘followers’ or anything else. If people want to post on threads that’s their choice.
Admin P: “As its a spoof why not call their bluff and move it to humour? - They obviously think we are going to delete it and ban them and then they can cry victimisation - lets not give them the satisfaction.”
My comment: These people really are paranoid! Get a grip!
Admin (no longer ‘staff’):
“Helping Haiti Charity Single (Everybody Hurts) Premiere - If anyone wants an MP3 of the single recorded off the BBC Radio 1 broadcast this morning, I would be glad to send it to your MSN Messenger email address. I'm not posting this on the Forum or Youtube, for copyright reasons.”
My comment: Yes, more copyright violations!
Admin K:
“I have just posted in the thread and i sincerely think that if Lisa [Pully] can speculate about Susan singing or not that song, or asking for a confirmation, she does not deserve to be honorary member of this forum. If she persists i will vote against. The same applies to RIK.”
My comment: Yes, you must hold the same opinion as the ‘staff’ or we’ll send you to the naughty corner and take away your privileges!
Admin P:
“I PERSONALLY WANT TO PUNCH THEIR LIGHTS OUT - but we need to PM both of them and explain the implications of their statements to them with a caution that should they do so again they might incur a ban as they would be in breach of rule one – Lisa [pully] is not a trouble maker so to ban her for a first offence seems somewhat harsh, and we can not treat RIK differently even if he is a PITA [Pain In The Ass]!”
My comment: What nice people allege to run that alleged fansite!
Moderator PDK:
“Well, Lisa got much attention for a while, and I was a bit disappointed that she came across so (I don't know if that is the right word) feeble minded. (OK, tell me I'm out of line, but that was how I felt.) Thinking that Susan didn't sing the song is just too stupid.”
My comment: They really don’t like this poor woman at all do they?!
Admin P:
“[Member] has been PM'ing me regarding the banned member issue - I have managed to placate him on most points and said Paul was looking into the technical glitch thing. However- he says his questions were not fully answered before the thread was closed - and he does have a point - and wants to know why the rambling lunatics thread was closed just because [Member] left but the duende thread was left open? I basically said I would find out and get back to him. So do we have an answer that is going to stand up? Did any one ask for it to be closed? Did we close it because we don't like it? (if the latter - its not a good enough reason really if we are being honest) or did we have some other reason?”
My comment: Oh dear, they’re making stuff up again aren’t they?! ‘Do we have an answer that is going to stand up?’
Moderator L:
“Teri needs to STFU [Shut The F**k Up]!”
My comment: Nice way to talk about a member!
Admin P:
“The OS [Official Site] fans - not wishing to be outdone by the pesky fan site - are planning on sending Susan a pair of crystal glass vases as a house warming gift when she moves into her new house.”
My comment: Oh dear, we can’t have anyone other than us sending her gifts! Shock horror!
Moderator J:
“It would be a good idea for us to become more proactive in initiating events instead of waiting for members to come up with them. Then, they can have input but we can somewhat control the outcome.”
My comment: Yes, it’s all about control. That’s all they want.
Admin P:
“Is it just me or does anyone else hate this obsession with group cards?”
My comment: Oh dear, so they don’t like those – they don’t tell the members that though!
Moderator W:
“Way over done, beginning to lose it's meaning. But for many who don't feel empowered it's a way to actively do something nice.”
My comment: They really don’t like those cards then!
Admin P:
“Personally I thought [member] was mad as a box of frogs and bordering on the stalkerish type.”
My comment: This member had been to see Susan and thought she didn’t look well. Admin P didn’t seem to like that and so called her a ‘stalker’. Given Admin P seems to always be at Susan’s house, I think I know who’s really the stalker!
Admin P:
“I am getting a both fed up with Xeno, Citroen Lady and Teri in the housewarming thread. They are being real killjoys. … After consulting with my fellow mods that darn thread was temporarily closed. They were being complete idiots.”
My comment: Lovely woman this Admin P!
Moderator M:
“Another thought about this... If we did this, I think it would serve to help minimize the idea that we are trying to silence their ideas.”
My comment: That was in response to an idea to create a suggestions thread. ‘Silence their ideas’ indeed!
Moderator KS:
“Hells Bells! Clix Pixs thinks she is a photographer! She has the equipment - but that's it! This woman doesn't know what she is talking about! I've been in professional photography longer than that woman can ever imagine! She knows Nothing! Period.”
My comment: How nice!
Admin (no longer ‘staff’):
“I'm trying my hardest to ignore all of Clix Pix's posts, but sometimes I read them dispite my intentions! That person is a wet noodle, being so negative on all the threads. ….. Clix Pix being an a-hole and trying to provoke [Member].”
My comment: And you need a frickin’ haircut!
Moderator L:
“That new thread started by L** is a ticking time bomb - so far not many takers, but DJG is egging it on. I think they're trying to pick a fight - just my opinion….. DJG likes to make a war out of everything. … Personally, I think L** began that thread with the intention of starting trouble and DJG egged her on. I think the two of them thought it up and executed it, and after a slow start it began to accomplish what they were after. When it became really inflammatory, several of us mods warned them, deleted some posts, then some of the members turned it around. When it became bland and was no longer working for them, L** asked that it be closed”
My comment: Paranoid are we babe?! It’s not true, BTW!

My goodness, such fascinating reading here! Heh, I'm not surprised to see my name in there. I recall a particular discussion about photography which was going along quite nicely until someone -- yes, a mod -- all of a sudden really blasted me, let loose on me without any provocation whatsoever. I remember staring at my computer screen in disbelief and wondering what on earth was the matter with her. To this day I still have no idea of what provoked her, but obviously she was unhappy enough about it to have commented on it to her fellow mods..... Interesting, that! I hadn't made any claims of being a professional photographer, as I'm not, I'm just an enthusiastic amateur. I had talked about my enjoyment of photography, had shared some of my work (which I believe I later removed) and mentioned some of the lenses which I used to get particular shots. That is standard procedure on most photography sites and I think even those who aren't into photography like to know a little about how someone took a photo. Everyone had been enjoying the discussion until she came along. At the time I thought, "someone made a big mistake appointing this woman a moderator -- she cannot control herself." I am not surprised to know that she is no longer a moderator; she never should have been appointed to that position in the first place.
As for the other comments regarding me, I am sure that they're referring to various discussions in which I vainly tried to get them to recognize that copyright was being violated. As we have seen, they could care less about copyright.
None of those people should be in the positions of responsibility which they are currently holding. None of them.....

I know of a member who sent copyright laws to SBFII and was banned on the spot. Why could that be I ask. ??

Just to show how paranoid they are, we weren't even friends there I personally thought you were too grumpy for my liking there, I opened the thread to have fun with stereoptypes, but after the attacks of the lapdogs and the many cuts by mods, it didn't make any sense, so I asked them to close it. That's all. Nothing like susan-boyle.com for making a big drama of nothing. oh well nothing new there is it! Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesus!

Ummmmmm - who's L**? Might that be LEM? If so, the implication that I've conspired with DJG about anything is way too rich. I don't believe I've ever sent a PM to him, nor him to me. (Of course I barely PM at all).

L@@ is for Luz, and the thread in question it is in the jokes corner, it was about stereotypes mostly tourists, don't know why they got it so negatively, perhaps because they thought that DJG and I were together in it, nothing more far from reality, Baberino and I weren't keen on eachother at that time, so they made us come together in their war against humour. If you see we were most of the time in the humour section but in differents threads.
What a bunch of bigots!

This stuff is truly sickening. Talk about being two faced. How can anyone with an ounce of decency talk about their members this way.

This is what happens if you dare send them a complaint by PM! Really nice people aren’t they?!
Admin (no longer ‘staff’):
“Ammo ranting - Here's Ammo yelling at me in a PM. I'm not replying.”
[A full copy of what was supposed to be a private message was pasted on their ‘Staff Chat’ thread – it was a simple complaint about a posting by another member which she felt inappropriate]
Admin K:
“just ignore her, she is a PITA [Pain In The Ass] to the power of +N”
Admin P:
“seems to me Ammo has forum induced dissociative identity disorder - i.e multiple personalities - she is fine one minute then someone else the next.”
Moderator L:
“Ammo is truly being a PITA about Irish Central's columns. I have no idea what she is so pertubed about …. If Niall is indeed on here, he will probably change his mind about joining us after that BS she's spouting.”
Admin (no longer ‘staff’):
“I have no idea what Ammo is on about either. I wish she would just keep her silly opinions to herself.”
Moderator L:
“Sometimes Ammo's like a bomb hoping for someone to light the fuse.”
Admin P:
“Bloody Ammo - sent me 2 PMs = one of them asking me if English was my 1st language ME????? I am mortified - she is pissed off about the QVC thread and no one understanding her posts and her being "invisible" - if only she was - she got a very tersely worded reply. The woman is mad as a box of frogs!”
“Got a very nice PM from ammo who now thinks I am a "lady" - first person to laugh gets a warning no matter who they are mod or no mod. Going to get the vodka - this place is surely driving me to drink”

Well, that really shows true colors by a Admin who claims to be so perfect. .. "pissed off... the woman is mad as a box of frogs...... " Me thinks this Admin should take a good look at theirself...

Isn't this disgusting? These are the actual words of these people, obviously written behind the scenes, written to each other and mocking the members to whom they were being nice in public. What is sickening is that there are still members on EW/SBFII who have no clue as to what goes on behind their backs, and that undoubtedly most of them are also mocked in the very same way, referred to as a "PITA" or an "A-hole" or some such, or casually being dismissed as being "mad as a box of frogs!" (That's a most intriguing image, isn't it? Picture that in your mind....)
These people have absolutely no respect for any of their members. None whatsoever......

I wasn't a member here when all this stuff was going on with you guys and gals. Initially I joined OS and eventually meandered over to EW in Oct of 09. I was never active there as far as posting and mostly just read the news about SB. I had no clue about the turmoil until the July bust up.
Currently I have been reading a pretty fair mystery but that is going to have to wait now.......this is the most fascinating SH*T I've ever been privy to...no pun intended.

I think a TV special should be made of this. It would get RAVING reviews.

Hi all. Long time since I was here. I've been busy writing at The Spoof. Interesting, EW's thoughts about me.
I'm a member over there again . Have been for a while.
I'm planning to write a sitcom and, my dog, do I have a lot of interesting characters in the wings....

Well, I am the one they are saying is mad as a box of frogs and the stalkerish type. I have a copy of a post she wrote in the mods room saying the same thing. Except that Susan invites me over every time she sees me. I don't HAVE TO stalk her!

I remember "mad as a box of frogs" was one of PT's favorite insults. She used it a lot against members, ---obviously, as the staff meetings recorded above will show. Very little respect shown to members of their forum.

A long time ago, Ammo, I asked someone from one of the other sites, who would have reason to know, if she knew who my favorite writer at The Spoof really was. And it was you. You have a real talent. Hope you get that sitcom up and running.

Ammo, or Lady G as she was known at The Spoof, has long since been banned from there.
Actually, The Spoof has become almost as repressive and disgusting as EW. All the really talented and creative writers have been banned and almost no one ever says anything interesting on the forum these days.
I don't think the person who owns the site even cares any more. I know I certainly don't.
