| Husband told me tonight gas was $3.4?something per gallon at the Hess station he goes to when he filled up. That's about 35 cents more per gallon than the last time I bought gas a couple of weeks ago-------at the same location!! YIKES!! |

Yeah, well it's £1.40 a litre here, so basically about £6.30 a gallon (just over $10)! |

| I filled my tank this morning. It cost a few pence short of £80 I need a tank of fuel every week and I have a pretty economical car - I get about 50mpg! |

| And now with this new earthquake tragedy, the prices may go up even further.
Our gas are averaging $1.13.9 litre today. The US gallon is about 4 litres, so our price is $4.56 US. When I see all the prices in the UK and Europe, I feel very lucky. |

| Oh, yes,---we DO know how lucky we are, compared with most other areas of the industrialized world. That fact is brought home to us all the time. My comment was just a reaction to how much the price had gone up in the short time between when I had filled my car's tank and last night when my husband bought gas at that same station. A bit of sticker shock for us. But no,---nothing even close to what you all have been paying right along. I wish they'd get some of these alternate fuel projects up and running sometime soon. I hate like hell being held hostage by the oil companies!! |

It depends on where you live in Canada too. Right now it's a 1.24 per Litre Since a gallon 3.8 litres it's roughly $4.50 per gallon. |

Sorry Sassy., I was too lazy to multiply our price by 3.8. It was easier to multiply by 4. So to be more precise, my price currently is 4.33 Gallon. Yes it makes a difference where you are in Canada |

| The average petrol price in Melbourne and Sydney is around $1.49 per litre or $5.66 per gallon. You can get it a bit cheaper if you shop around. Our currencies are almost at parity. This is a very expensive country to live in! |
