The joke should be over! SBFII members complain about the tabloid rags always putting Susan down with the same sayings! How many complaints have we heard over and over about "the hairy angel", or "spinster". I saw in the pictures from the WFM that there were signs on the table that said Lirpa Loof (April Fool backwards). With all the worrying about paps and what tabloids might say; doesn't anyone worry if the tabs got a hold of that one! They would report that her "biggest fan site" calls her Lirpa Loof!! It might have been cute in the beginning; NOT ANYMORE!

If I recall correctly, Susan herself has alluded to being sensitive about her birthday being April 1st.....it is really a shame that her own fans cannot show respect for her. IMHO that whole "Lirpa Loof" business on SBFII was a farce and an insult to Susan and continues to be. I'm sorry to learn that they echoed that at the WFM.

As far as I know that is ONLY used on the SBFII forum.

Calling Susan "Lirpa Loof" has always been an insult, in my opinion. It was never cute.
When they created the spoof account I was disgusted but not surprised since they love playing with the members' heads. But when they gave that user name to Susan I was utterly appalled. It was an in your face slap at her self-esteem, disguised as a very lame joke.

I actually knew that they were going to give it to Susan because Mirrim told me just watch this space. I once said that on the forum a few months ago and PT said I wasn't fair that I caught them in another lie.
It is insulting and I suspect that Susan probably has another account that we're not aware of over there and uses it when she wants to view the board and lurk.

It is my understanding that Susan was/is pretty computer-illiterate, although she may have become a bit more tech-savvy in the past two years. I highly doubt that the whining, gushing & machinations of the characters & PTB EW would interest her for long, or that she'd be killing herself to navigate the multiple forums, sub-forums and threads of the site. But maybe that's just me.

EW tells everyone that Susan and her team visit the forum all the time. I do not believe it. They say that in order to keep people from posting :"contentious" posts! ALL about control!
I have never believed for one minute that Susan or her management visits ew. If they really read it, they would see right away how self-serving some of the people there are.

I would doubt that Susan reads it but I wouldn't be surprised if her management go and have a look every now and again - though they'd have a hellava lot more fun if they popped in here - but there we go...

I think a few of Sony reps have. all bigwigs will have someone who will troll the forum to make sure that nothing that they say is slanderous. So they create fake accounts, read and report back to their record labels or PR.

Question is why do they want control? Why bother with 200 maybe members ? Well Sony would want control. I truly believe that Sony has hired PT to run both sites and have control how the meet and greets are done. You can see it in Susan's face with some of the meet and greets, her body language too that she doesn't want to be there, but to her it's a job.
If she was friends with either one of those nutcases on EW then she would have sent them golden tickets to her two big bashes. PT is hired just to run the sites and take a handful of fans to Susan's home.
Why didn't she leave the kitchy Drina violet that looks cheap on the table with the other presents? Because they set it up to manipulate the forumites to come in and say ooh and aw.

I agree Sassy but my one question is why PT doesn't promote those visits on the OS? Something is really wrong with that situation.

Trying to remember when that name first was used. I think it was before a visit to Susan's home by Tink(Tink's first??) and Stevieboy in which Susan was presented with some gifts and SB had his computer, ostensibly to allow her to get on line and say hello to members. So this ID was set up and during the visit, "Lirpa Loof" appeared online to say "hi" to the EW membership. Of course everyone went wild, posting comments and questions to Lirpa,--gush, gush, gush. It wasn't Susan at all because Susan didn't use the computer. Tink and SB finally admitted that Susan told them what to say and SB typed it in. There were maybe three sentences---and that was it. Fans didn't know whether she was still there or what was happening on that end, so comments to Lirpa kept coming in, everyone hoping she'd be back. The big pay-off for admin., besides the massive on line attendance during that day, was that now they could legitimately use the threat of, "Watch what you say! Susan may be reading this!!" People were freaked over this for weeks. Until, of course, it became obvious that Susan didn't "do" computers and the only reason she was on line that day for a couple of minute was that Stevieboy had set it up and typed in the few words she repeated to him. There are still some who speculate how Susan is coming along with her computer. But I think generally it's accepted that, like driving, Susan really doesn't go there. Maybe some day,---but maybe not.

That's exactly how I remember it WAM. At the time I thought "lirpa loof" was just a one-off April Fools joke at the expense of the members who fell for it. Not for a moment did I think it was a genuine choice for a screen name, nor did I think Susan would bother logging in again.

You've got the timing wrong, WAM. The "Lirpa Loof" account was created on March 30, 2010 so that the moderators could play a joke on the members by pretending Susan was posting on her birthday 2 days later. I heard from someone that it was stevieboy who created the account, though that could be wrong. Susan was in Tokyo at the time, so most people figured out that it was not her on the forum but the lame joke went on. They never really owned up to it as far as I can recall.
Later on they "gave" the account to Susan during the very first home invasion on April 11th, I do believe. A few times Pickle and her lackey used it to sign Susan in on the forum and post messages (supposedly) from her. Eventually they said that they could no longer access the account for some reason. Perhaps Susan changed her password and email so they couldn't break into it at will.

Yeah, I recall that they had done that "Lirpa Loof" spoof on the fans for an April Fool's joke first, pretending that Susan was online during her birthday. And it was later that the visit happened and,"Oh, WOW! Guess what, Susan is posting to all of you!!" It was Stevieboy posting what few things Susan said to him, I believe. My memory of that far back isn't the best,------but that's what I remember. Anyhow, the Lirpa name stuck-------and the threat was effective for keeping the members in line: "Susan may be reading this. Be careful what you say." Some were so excited to think Susan might be online at any given moment, they readily bought into that lie. Cracks me up that even on the OS, they post personal comments to Susan as though she were actually reading them. Some people will continue to choose the reality they want, I guess!

I think you guys are right. The original fan site was up & running within days (a day?) of Susan's audition. But no one ever claimed that she visited it until Stevieboy brought his computer with him on a visit a year later, presumably to show her the site. Even then, to my knowledge no claim has been made that she signed on of her own volition, then or ever; she didn't even post any comments on her own, rather she dictated a few lines to SB (probably to show some interest for the sake of politeness), who typed them in on her behalf. I somehow doubt she's ever signed on to the site of her own volitions, either through technical inability or lack of desire. But it does serve the purposes of TPTB to point out that "Susan may see this" - yeah, she might, if SB shows up with his Dongle and chooses to show her certain things. And above and beyond all that - so what if Susan sees?? Although again, I think it's highly unlikely that she'd take the time & effort to grasp the cast of characters or the context over there.
I assume someone affiliated with Susan and/or Sony keeps an eye out on the various sites simply to take the pulse of her fandom. If they see less than flattering things - about the management of various sites, about their handling of Susan & her career, about Susan's work product (song choices, production and the like), even about Susan's public behavior - again, so what? What's so wrong about some objective observations? Perhaps it might provide some food for thought.

I think there are a lot of people there who do not like this lirpa crap. I understand that there are not many posts in that thread by Mauro. The problem now is that there is so much instilled fear on the site, that most people are afraid to post ANYTHING that goes against the groupthink there. I find it hard to believe that Susan thinks it is ok to have that as her name on the site. Even if she does approve, the site should remove it out of respect for Susan!

That's just it! They have no true respect and do not treat her as the Super Star she is. Their come back is always, well "Susan laughed about it". That doesn't make it right. Does Barbra or Celine's fans have cardboard cutouts of their star and treat them like playthings??

There was a poll at OS about whether Susan should be called lirpa loof. PickledTink/Jessie came in and deleted it! Tinky, how does it feel defending a putdown of Susan? What about rule #1? I guess it only applies to DJGers and questioners, certainly NOT Stevieboy!!

The title that I would give: “The voice of the heart”
Below are the songs I chose for you Susan:
1) David Arkenstone : Celtic Hymns - Be Thou My Vision

There is already an album called "Voice of the Heart," produced by Richard Carpenter as the first album released after his sister Karen's death. That album includes the last song she recorded.
