| The feedback I am getting is that many of you are upset that DGUOM (on the QVC bonus CD) was not on the STWOM CD. I could not agree more! Also, many are upset that this has not been the direction she should have been going from the very beginning. I think that Susan has been a very unique case for her record company, and from the beginning they have struggled as to what types of music Susan should be singing. It has been well known what my feeling has been from the very beginning.
I am now urging all who feel the way I do to start a letter writing campaign to her record company AND manager. They are the deciders. You waste your time by writing it in the many blogs, review, and newspaper sites. My suggestion is that we should start in earnest after the promotion period is over, since they are all very busy now with that. Probably after mid December would be a good time.
Anyone on forums please spread the word about this. We are fans. We want what is best for Susan and for us. I have followed Susan since the day after her BGT audition. I LOVED her singing! I loved what she did before April, 2009. I have said that CMAR 1998 is the best female recording EVER! I have been like a lost soul since that time. That, thankfully, changed the minute I heard DGUOM. The feeling I had in April 2009 inundated me again! I want MORE of that feeling. I hope you all do to!

| You can search for Andy Stephens Management (Susan's manager) to get his email address. |

My advice, and I know nobody asked: Wait until after the holidays. No one gets anything done from now until then. I think it's fine to write Sony, Simon, and Andy about Susan's music. I know for a fact they'll pay more attention to actual letters--you know, on actual paper, stamps on the front-kind-of-thing, than they will to emails flooding their in-boxes, because it shows you care about what you're writing. And nothing gives that ring of authenticity like using your own words. Form letters, IMHO, are a bad idea. I delete them instantly, and you probably do too, so why wouldn't busy people at Sony? My suggestion is to state opinions simply as opinions, not as expert advice or speaking for thousands of Susan-lovers. The folks you hope to reach probably know their jobs, so letters addressing them as witless dolts won't make it up the ladder to the name on your envelope. It's a safe bet that person won't be the first to open and read them. It shows your own smarts to spell his/her name properly, correct typos, and run a spell-checker. It also shows respect for whomever will be reading your letter, and that's never a bad thing. Personally, I don't think Syco intends for those tracks to go to waste and likely has plans for them down the line. I kind of think Simon sees the big picture and knows what he's doing. We don't see the big picture, because we don't have all the information. We have plenty of strong opinions, but we don't know the record business. Just a thought: Remember when Paramount Pictures killed off Mr. Spock? OMG, the wailing and gnashing of teeth! Trekieland was ablaze. Fans threw away their memorabilia and burned their Star Trek uniforms! Production people at Paramount got death threats. All for nothing. Turned out, Paramount and its Trek writers had a plan, and the result was more creative and interesting than those hysterical fans could have imagined. So sometimes it's really best to leave the decisions to people whose job it is to make them. We might as well, because whatever happens, we won't be the ones who decide. |

| What i do know is that they read the song suggestions. Don't know about anything else. I am starting my annual list but will NOT send until after Jan lst to any of them. |

| Yes, I will write in January. I am going to make sure I say that it is NOT Susan I am disappointed with, but quite a few of the song choices and their production. Even if Susan 'chose the songs herself', which I doubt very much, it's good that she gets feedback from her fans because if quite a few of us are not happy, then given we're die-hard fans, it should have some impact surely. |
