At SBFII: No Negativity About Negativity

Apparently at SBFII now members cannot even write something negative about a negative review!!!! Many posts have been removed. How do you members keep putting up with such censorship. It is certainly mind-boggling to me!! What is the point of posting there any more?

And the question I have always ask myself is why? If they were really concerned about Susan reading, wouldn't she be happy that fans are coming to her defense??

Having posts deleted when members were defending Susan's new album is just plain mind-boggling. Many members are appalled at the heavy-handed censorship and with good reason.

IMHO a Susan Boyle fansite is a platform for meeting / sharing / confronting with others who love her singing and person (courage, sense of humour).

Personally that's good enough for me, I don't want (O, I could wish...) the whole world to love her and her albums, that sounds like a mission statement...

Well, I see it's business as usual at SBFII. Say nothing negative or risk that your comments be "sanitized" by helpful people who know what's best for you--(as, apparently, you don't know how to make a public comment w/o embarrassing yourself!). And amazingly there seem to be some who believe there is too little moderation over there! Hard to believe folks willingly put up with that kind of treatment!

I couldn't figure out why they closed that thread to check out post. When all people was doing was critizing the Scot. Reviewer. "Must be a relative of Susan's".

Anyway I thought they had troube with people saying anything about Susan, the Little Princess, or Sony and Sony employee's.

In the old days one could at least laugh at their ridiculousness - now I am just grateful I am no longer a member there. Scary to think that in this day and age that there are still people who believe they have the right to mess with other people's opinions to the degree they do!!! Who do the moderators think they are?

There is a new "in place" for the "In crowd"? --The "Animal Farm Hotel."

Here is something to think about. The OS, Sony's official site for Susan, allows negative comments about Susan (check out the Blackpool canceled story), YET SBFII, a SUPPOSED fan owned site, does not allow anything negative. Go figure!!!

it is mind-boggling that the one person in the entire fandom who shows ZERO interest in any of Susan's songs or singing, is the one who gets closest to her. Go figure!

Mentioning specific fans as "friends" in an official newsletter, how wise is that from a PR standpoint?

It's exclusionary.

There is never any acknowledgement of certain "issues" that have always been the elephant in the room. We should be happy that a certain few can see Susan and inform her about how much she is appreciated and loved, on behalf of all fans. Hopefully, that information is being expressed to Susan.
Perhaps some newbies would love to see Susan just as much to express that for themselves.
Also, it is not true that all fans have the same opportunities to attend Susan events. People may have obligations, health problems or just can't go because of financial issues. If the "same" people would like to do something worthy, stand aside once and help someone new get to see Susan. JMHO

Good comments, Bernice. I'm sure they'd prefer that there wouldn't be too many new folks,---just the favored few, as usual.

You make a good point.
Women fought long and hard to be heard and to have a voice in society. There are still places in the world where women have no voice.
Sadly in this case it is women of the free world who are denying women their voice... 
Since it is the virtual world I guess to have a voice is all is a fiction of imagination .....
