How can they not accept resignations? What about if the organization had liabilities and one would want to leave? They need to get a letter from a lawyer maybe that would help..?????

So active membership goes down automatically (less people logging in, at least as long as the criterium for that remains fixed), but "membership" can only go UP through the few new members that trickle in...???

Wish I had made some stats of the latter as well, but somewhere hidden in this labyrinth there must be a few data.

Whoa, look at that -- sad watching this, isn't it? Actual active member count as of a few moments ago when I took a quick look is 941. Soon they'll be dropping into the 930s. When you consider that probably only 100-150 people are genuinely "active" members in the full sense of really participating by posting and interacting with each other, these figures are even more significant. If they lose a few lurkers, no big deal, but my hunch is that they are losing people who used to participate regularly. This clearly illustrates how much is wrong there.

On 1-17-2011 active members were 1040. That is a 10.57% drop in 3 months!
