The worst thing is that that is precisely what many people [1%] really want to believe. Apparently there is a wonderful movie on at the moment called "Occupy Love"

If you simply try to "do unto other as you would like them to do unto you" then you could wind up doing things to others they might not enjoy as much as you do. . . . An even more "finely tuned" rule might be what some call "The Platinum Rule," namely, "Do Unto Others as They Would Have You Do Unto Them." In other words, take time to learn about your neighbor's tastes, their mood, their nature, and their temperment, before you start "doing" things "unto them." Treat others the way they want to be treated. Author: Edward Babinski

All life in this universe is governed by certain clearly defined laws. People call them by different names - The Law of Cause and Effect, Karma, Newtons Third Law, etc. These very laws can be used as proof for both sides of the argument, of whether God exists or not. So, the only thing we all ever really need to do in life is to study these laws as proof of our innermost beliefs, whatever they might be. Author: Unknown

No one seriously doubts Socrates' maxim: The unexamined life isn't worth living. Self-assessment and attempts at self-improvement are essential aspects of "the good life." Yes, we should engage in ruthless self-reflection and harsh scrutiny, but we should simultaneously acknowledge that such introspection will, at best, only result in a partial view of our minds at work. Complete objectivity is not an option. Author: Robert A. Burton
