That group?? Smoking weed??? Not even in the realm of possibility! We only WISH they did.

Oh, good grief! Sounds as though they are very definitely targeting anyone who has been identified with this group or who has written anything with which they disagree. Sheeeeeeeeeesh!

Don't they see that they're shooting themselves in the foot by these draconian tactics? Any member still left there with any common sense would say, "whoa, I'm outta here!" and down goes their active member count even further..... Anyone want to take bets on what the Active Member Count will be by Monday? 970, maybe? Of course that figure would only reflect the current rate of attrition. In 31 days' time they'll be lucky to have 500 active members!

Susan Boyle? Oh, yeah, Susan Boyle..... I think somehow she got lost in the shuffle with all of this going on, even though it has always been clear that a primary goal of some people at EW was to meet Susan in person, to speak with her, perhaps touch her.....

While I suspect that the PTB at EW take great pride and joy in having contacts with Susan's "people," and in having had access to Susan herself, even having made visits to her home, I don't think that in some ways what we're all involved in at the moment has anything much to do with Susan Boyle at all. It has to do with power, control and a lot of stuff like that.....

Just FYI - as you might recall, I did reply to the PM notifying me of my pre-mod status, and did, in a rhetorical sort of way, opine that it would probably be too much to expect an actual explanation for same, especially in light of the fact that I hadn't posted anything, 'provocative' (whatever that is) or not, in over two months. As of this post, I have not in fact received any kind of response, not, again, that I really expected one. Most of us find ourselves in kind of a box when we're asked to defend the indefensible.

I didn't reply, but wanted to change my avatar, that doesn't seem possible in my present condition...

My avatar is now the standard one, my signature has changed to something gibberish, but I still could change my profile picture into the yellow bus.

SBFII's member count is now two less than it was. I signed on yesterday via a 'secondary' account that I'd use occasionally for a look-see - and absent-mindedly made a post, forgetting for the moment that I wasn't signed in as LEM. Whoops! I realized my error as soon as I hit Post Reply, and deleted my post as soon as it appeared. It couldn't have appeared on the thread for an entire second. I then signed in as LEM and made essentially the same post. That was apparently enough for TPTB to match things up. I got a PM asking me to choose one account or the other (I'm frankly surprised they didn't just ban both accounts outright). I signed in a bit later under the secondary account to find that the user name/password were invalid. So that account was apparently eliminated. I was able to sign in as LEM long enough to PM back that they could delete the LEM account as the site had really lost its appeal for me long ago. I hadn't posted in over 2 months and had barely signed in at all for at least as long - under either account. So there you have it. No particular loss, as far as I'm concerned!
