SBFII Removes Active Members Number!

So, the powers that be at SBFII have decided to do something about the falling active members number which has gone from 1700 to 867 in 18 months. They took the active members number OFF the main page! Well, I guess it is better to follow the adage, "Out of sight, out of mind"! Kudos to the administration for hiding the shame of a near 50% drop in active members! Good job!

Reminder of the numbers that matter:
MEMBERS-5338-includes all that joined and NEVER posted, plus those that left but do not come off the member list.
ACTIVE MEMBERS-867
ELIGIBLE VOTERS-285
ACTUAL VOTERS-153

Kind of like they say that the best way to find out how much something is worth is to list it for sale and see what kind of offers you get . . . . seems to me the best way to determine active membership is straight from the horse's mouth, based on the members they themselves feel are active enough to deserve voting rights. That number, if I recall, was more like 250, give or take. But that would be consistent with the number of people who actually post over there in any meaningful way. They can fudge the numbers all they want, but they've actually revealed their active membership numbers.

Wait a minute. That would mean that even during that annual meeting hootenanny they didn't have anywhere near the number of eligible members online, or even the much lower number of actual voters. That sure doesn't show much enthusiasm from the remaining members, does it?

The Statistic and Chart Committee of Susahumor Forum, has decided to change the bylaw for online members numbers reporting. The old bylaw, rule # 54996A stated that the count would be reported 3 times a day. The new bylaw, rule#54996A1B now calls for the online member count to be reported once a week in the afternoon to evening, EDT.
I am now requesting of DJG, the boss here, to please add a new bylaw for Susahumor for reimbursement for all the work required collecting this data. We, on the committee, feel we need this. I have retained a lawyer, who says that we are within our rights to request this. Here he is---- Do not mess with him!
